I have a customer requesting a 8'x24' banner 2 colour. My sign contractors price guide doesn't allow me to price anything of this size. Frankly I never done a banner this size. Does anyne have any insight they can help me with this? It has to be installed about 30' up on the building.
Thanks

the banner is one thing, the install is a another. 8'x24' =192 sqft x $6 per sq ft= $1152. this is for lettering only. now add the price of the banner to that with a 10-15% add on for handling and time invested in ordering. NOTE: i would get this amount UP FRONT......its his banner, let him pay for it. also something that big i would get out the paint!!!! vinyl is a pain at that size!!! as for the install, you need to figure what you need to get it up there, people to help you, their time, and a bucket truck/man lift/ or how you choose to it in place. my low end figure for this would be $1500-1800, and what about permits?????

I would have this digitally printed ina heartbeat. Get a price on that, add your profit and design time, then offer it as a "ready to hang" No liability on your part.
If they insist on an installation, run 2 heavy cables from point a to point b. Use clips to retain it TOP & BOTTOM inside the grommets. Use straps to secure it at the left and right, and charge for your time.

We can Digitally paint it for ya. $2.50 per sq ft (on #10 Canvas), plus hem and grommeting. That would come out to 654.00 american + shipping. Check out our site. Thanks, Mike

LOL i can beat that price by 5 dollars...J/k Digital printing is the way to go on that. We would print it for the same cost wholesale on large banners. Actually out here in california with taxes and gas all that junk it would probably be about $3.00 a square + shipping

I just received $1200 for a 7' x 17' banner, all in paint. Materials $180 plus a fair bit of paint left over. Labour including design, maybe 2 good days. I considered digital & was quoted $580 delivered, but figured the time was worth it for me, and work had quietened down just then. (that's Australian $- similar to Canadian)
