I just wanted to let some of my friends that have been sent emails to me asking where I have been. Our son died July 11th in Houston TX. The ME has still not decided if he was murdered or if it was a suicide. Our shop has been closed since then but I hope to do some work this week. No one should never have to go through this. Thanks for the emails and I am sorry I haven't answered any of them. This is only the 3rd time the computer has been turned on since that day. I will try to answer everyone by the end of the week.

Cynthia, it took a lot to tell us. No matter what happened this is very wrong and should never have happened. I can't imagine your devastation. I am so very sorry. Stay in touch, we care. I don't know what else to say.

I am so sorry you've had such a tragedy in your life. My thoughts and sympathy are with you.
My son also died a few month ago; it so is hard to burry a child. I'll never ever outlive the sorrow.
My best to you,
Joe

Amen to what Roy said, I can't imagine the difficulty of dealing with that kind of loss. I hope that you get the resolution you need soon to be able to come to terms with his death.
I know you walk with God through your life and can only urge you to keep those ties with Him. Death is just the end of life within our bodies and I know your son will live forever cradled in the love and warmth of your heart.
I pray to the Lord Jesus Christ that He bring you peace and understanding during your times ahead, that He be there when you need to lean on Him for strength, and that He blesses you and yours.
I am humbled by your willingness to share this very personal news and your grief. There seems to be no explanation for what has happened. It would be easy to question God's role and why it went down as it did. All wisdom belongs to God – He knows everything and His wisdom is full of compassion and mercy.
Death casts a frightening shadow over us because we are entirely helpless in its presence. We can struggle with other pain, suffering, disease, or injury but strength and courage cannot overcome death. It has the final word.
Only one person can walk with us through death's dark valley and bring us safely to the other side - Jesus Christ, our Lord and shepherd. Because life is uncertain, we should follow Him who offers us eternal comfort.
I will leave you with these words from the 23rd Psalm:
The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want: He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name' sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: For thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou annointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.
My family's hearts ache for you for your loss.

I too lost a son, thoughI know how, he commited suicide after coming home from Desert Storm. Don't know to this day what prompted this, but the pain is there everyday I think of Damon. We aren't supposed to be burying our youngn's, they are supposed to bury us. I am not going to tell you that it gets better, I'm only going to site a poem: "As we accept the fact that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, we must also accept the fact that young men die and old men must." I hope and pray for enlightenment and peace for you during these trying days.

Dear Cynthia, I haven't been around much lately, either. Too busy. I logged on just now and I see your post and I felt like I got punched in the stomach. I have no better words than those that have already been posted, but know my heart goes out to you and your family. May God help you get through this. Love, Mark

Cynthia, If our words and thoughts are of any consolation to you, then we are doing all that we can to support you from here. Don't dwell on the reasons this happened, it will only bring you down. Talk to your son often, as I do to my Mom, I believe there is still a dialogue open.

Cynthia, None of us can truly know your pain, but know that we are all thinking of you and your family. In your most difficult moments, I hope you can hear God whispering comforting words to you that hopefully will bring you some peace. There are no words that we can say that will help...just know that all of your friends on the board here care.
