Anyone know of any type of panel available that is a faux marble.
A customer of ours had a sign done in Florida and they said they used a faux marble panel. The effect wasn't painted, but was from the manufacturer. This one happened to be blue.
She wants us to use it for a sign here. Any thoughts? She thought is was called "marcite" (which I discovered was a plaster used to line swimming pools) but she wasn't sure of the name of the product.

Check at your Home Depot or big lumber yard. Could it be a type of counter top material? I have some marble looking counter top laminate that we used in our pantry at home but I don't know how it would work for a sign. It looks like marble though.

Richard, Interior or exterior? I have used Corian® from DuPont for interior signs. Not sure if it weathers, but it is made for countertops. Link to CORIAN Looks like it comes in blue. OKAY. Since posting I called DuPont and it CAN be used outside!

Maybe try that Alumapanel place Sheila referred to. I think they do wood grain aluminum, surely they also do marbled. Love....Jill

Dark colors of Corian will fade in direct sunlight. You can "polish" them back. I've heard of some people using a clear coat to avoid fading but I don't know how successful that method is. BTW Corian is not cheap - we have to but a minimum 1/2 sheet 30"x72". Prices vary depending on the color/type but you would average around $300, delivered to your door.
