Up until last October. I was running an old router I had bought secondhand with a 1991 computer. The puter was still working fine when the router finally calved. Had a look inside and there was about an inch of dust and stuff from the router everywhere. Don't think many new machines would survive in the same conditions

When Gerber came out with their digitizing station, I bought their GDS I. It had a nice sized Sumagraphics tablet run by an AppleIIe. That system did not even have a hard drive. You started the machine, loaded the system software from a single floppy disk, then saved the job file onto another floppy disk. My next system was a 286 PC with a 20 meg hard drive. (That's meg, not gig).
