After several years of annoying Shirley with the constant question "Why not take 2 months off?", she finally broke down and asked her supervisor at work if she could. She got a green light and we are going to be taking a 2 month vacation this winter.
I can hardly wait...even though it is still mid August. No snow and no freezing butts in the dead of winter!!!!! Finally!!!
Airline tickets are already bought and we hit Mexico on New Years Eve!! Bring on the Dos Equis and ceviche!!!!!!
(Oh yeah, thanks to the Canadian government for sending me the monthly pension cheques that will make this trip even sweeter )

Congrats, I envy you and Shirley. I have had one 10 day vacation since 1989. Boy would I love to get out of the snow in January. I have customers that go to Cancun for two months every winter. Make sure you keep us posted with pictures of the warm weather and all. I will have to live out my vacation vicariously through you and Shirley.
There is a lot of fun in just looking forward to the trip isn't there?
Pam

... and like an idiot I'm going back to St Louis at Christmas to visit family this year..
Dave, ya oughta check out Cozumel while you're down there. I don't think your usual spot is very far away and it's just a neat place to check out (especially in the winter when the humidity is low).
