He has advertised in the classifieds & has been moved to the supplier's Soapbox. He claims he buys & sells printers & plotters for a living. He had exactly what I was looking for, an Encad 600e to get started in digital printing. I called him with lots of questions & it all sounded good. We agreed on a price. On July 26, I paid through Paypal. He said he'd be shipping it that Thurs. The printer hasn't come & he won't return phone calls or e-mails. I've filed a complaint with Paypal & they're investigating. Other than that I don't have any ideas. Any suggestions or info on him would be appreciated. His name on the paypal acct. came up as Marc Ross.

Thanks Curtis! Also, Thanks to Barb Shortreed for helping try to resolve this ordeal. She's taken him off the supplier's soapbox. I hope nobody else gets burned by this guy. I did a google search with his phone # & noticed he advertises in other forums & classifieds. After looking through them I notice that at least one other person didn't get the item they purchased.

He just answered my call, finally. Through circumstances he has been gone for two weeks with no contact with anybody. He said he didn't send My printer because it needed some repairs before he could send it. William has read this post & I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it's hard. I just went through two weeks of calling him & e-mailing with no reply. He said he would call me tomorrow to work out the details. I hope I can post that he has resolved this issue.

We're sorry to see something like this happen in Letterville. Looks like we need to keep a closer eye on our Classified Forum. That forum is intended for the exclusive use of Letterheads! Legit vendors are invited to invest in Letterville as paying Merchants.
In the future, please notify us of anyone misusing and/or misrepresenting themselves anywhere in Letterville. We've contacted William Lowe ourselves in an effort to help Tom resolve this matter. It's not our intention to use this post to bash or embaress William, but based on his past dealings, our users need to beware of him.
