I got a call today from a distributor that I purchase my wide format supplies from who introduced me to a product called Clear-Star. It is a product similar to FrogJuice, as well as they offer products similar to Rapid Tac. I have never heard of this comapny before. They claim to have a superior product. Has anyone here ever used their products before? www.clearstarcorp.com
Any feed back would be appreciated. Thanks.

Good stuff. Also, the people who make smith's cream have a good oil based clear. I can't remember the name though. I think its Danacolors Laminator. Good luck.

Devin,
I've been using it for years. I love it. Steve Berman of Clearstar is a great guy and I have talked to him on a few occasions to discuss the products. I have the gloss and the flat clears and I mix them to whatever sheen I want. Dries quickly and tough. It is water-based and I even add tinting colors to it to get glazing effects. Add blue-green color to the flat you get really nice patinas. Again, great product I recommend it!

Is that the same Steve Berman who used to own Chromatic Paint Company?

Yes it is Joey. Really seems to know his stuff. The website that Devin referred us to shows his former affiliation with Chromatic.
