I got a call today from a distributor that I purchase my wide format supplies from who introduced me to a product called Clear-Star. It is a product similar to FrogJuice, as well as they offer products similar to Rapid Tac. I have never heard of this comapny before. They claim to have a superior product. Has anyone here ever used their products before? www.clearstarcorp.com Any feed back would be appreciated. Thanks.

Good stuff. Also, the people who make smith's cream have a good oil based clear. I can't remember the name though. I think its Danacolors Laminator. Good luck.

Devin, I've been using it for years. I love it. Steve Berman of Clearstar is a great guy and I have talked to him on a few occasions to discuss the products. I have the gloss and the flat clears and I mix them to whatever sheen I want. Dries quickly and tough. It is water-based and I even add tinting colors to it to get glazing effects. Add blue-green color to the flat you get really nice patinas. Again, great product I recommend it!
