I don't think you are being ignored, but... What kind of supplier are you looking for and why did "Gabrielli's" sound promising as opposed to another local supplier to you? Did you Google it?

LOL no i figured it got missed you guys post so much here by the time i came back to it a few days later it was way down on the list. Heres the story..a sales rep of ours called my phone by accident and went to voicemail, and he didnt know it recorded about a minute of his conversation. He was talking about us we just ordered 10 rolls of Controltac. In his conversation he said "they dont know about gabrielli's.......not unless you told them about.....if they knew they would get all of it from them. Don't tell them about gabrielli's (the other guy says they probably know about them) He reply's "well don't remind them i won't" Its kinda of funny i saved the voicemail had like 4 people listen to it to help me break it down but i cant find the company anywhere. The other company was interstate electric in LA. I just like to know that my suppliers are not gouging me that all especially when i get message like that. i paid about 495 a roll

Sounds similiar to taped conversations garnered from the Enron clowns when they under-handedly screwed the southwest out of millions of dollars over purchases of power to their grids. Did your clowns also laugh at what they were doing? Wouldn't doubt it, some real arrogant types out there these days.
I'd consider turning over a copy of that tape to your state attorney general for reveiw, there is such a thing called fraud.

just get 2 or 3 other controltac quote from other vendors... like some letterville merchants. sounds to me like an easier way to see if you are getting gouged or not without worrying about some cryptic voicemail

Sounds like a great sales call scenario... (Answering machine picks up, you start talking in mid-sentence) ...yeah. He does really need a new sign, that's why I'm calling him. I hate cold-calls. He'll probably just end up calling Signs of Success anyway. You know we can't compete with those prices or his designs...(murmur in background...click!)
Ahh! The power of suggestion.

It was very likely a apam call designed to look like a real call. Its one of the tricks used to get by the Do Not Call lists.
Another trick is to call and leave a message on your answer machine. They will hang up if you answer. Now doesn't that just **** you off when that happenes?
These were some of the tricks discussed at great length at a marketing seminar I attended.
I make it a point to avoid any vendor who uses telecalling to sell me anything.
