This may be a stupid question, but I do them best. In photoshop they show colors as so much red, green, blue, and also the values for cmyk. Is there a way to take thoes values and use them to mix paint?

RGB is "additive" and only works with light waves, like how your computer monitor displays color or even projectors that have the individual red, green and blue lenses. Mix red, green and blue light in equal intensities and you get white. Mix red, green and blue paint in equal amounts and you get mud.
CMYK is for printing and is closer to how paint is mixed (subtractive color) however printing inks are transparent so there isn't really a direct correlation between the two.
Some paint manufacturers do have formulas for mixing paint to achieve Pantone matches though.
