Heck, I thought this post was about Leonard Nemoy lookin for some lost tribe of signwriters.

Seriously, look right here on the Merchants page. The Fontry sells them, and they were running a great $99 special awhile back. Click that blue button up there on the left!

There are also other places like Sign DNA and Letterhead Fonts. And a lot of free sites on the Net, but some of their fonts look like something the cat dragged in.

Papyrus is a font that came with my Windows 95 CD. It's a pain in the butt to cut & weed tho, and has about a gazillion nodules on it. It looks good in some applications, but it is a lot of work. (Kinda like a beehive hairdo) So even if you do manage to find it, clean it up a bit in your sign program before cutting.

Love...Jill

Ray,
The net is a great place for most fonts. Can't think of any specific sites that are GREAT but all are sufficient. I have used 1001freefonts.com and there are many, many others to try. I have come up with some really nice fonts but you have to dig through a lot of rocks to get to the diamonds. Sit down some night when you can play and search fonts. Font names will sometimes be close to the "original" name e.g., Penguin, Penyae, Pengwin. Helvetica is a registered name but you can find "Swiss" in most of the same variations. I have come across many fonts with different names. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to remember reading that you can't trademark a fontstyle but you can trademark the name. That's why there are so many font variations that look identical (for most purposes).
I recently looked for "Spring" font online. It kept sending me to the Agfa font site, a paid font site - original owners. Still looking for the "knock-off".

Ray,

I just went through (or am going through) the Papyrus nightmare. Been fighting it for about 3 weeks. It is an Agfa font. I purchased it and once I got it it was too complex to convert. My sign software vendor even tried with some special editing software they have and had some problems. Even after conversons there were still some glitches. Then, low and behold I double checked my CD of 2000 fonts and found one on it called AncientScript. The regular extended is so close to Papyrus it is hard to tell the difference. It loaded fine and converted fine. Also there aren't all the holes and extra nodes in it like the Papyrus but still the irregular edges and the letter shapes are nearly identical. You might check to see if you have this one in your collection. I should work for you. I will be cutting it today so if you want to know how it workes e-mail me and I will let you know.

Ray,

Edit to the typo in my last post. It should read "It should work for you," not "I should work for you." I am sure Virginia is a beautiful place but I think I'll stay where I am at. (lol)

Ray,

Papyrus is included with Corel.

If you own Corel and did a "typical" installation, it may not have loaded into your system's font directory.
Simply go to the Windows' control panel, open the fonts folder and click "file/install new font" from the Corel installation disc.

Hope this helps...
