A guy I know in Illinois is selling out. He has a Graphtec plotter model FC3100-60 (24 inch), plus some assorted vinyl roll ends. How old is this model, and what is it's track record?? As you all know, I am a Gerber Baby!
Warm regards,

The first cutting plotter made by GRAPHTEC CORP.'s Irvine, California subsidiary is on the market in Japan. The desktop FC3100-60 has a maximum cutting width of 22.8 inches and a top cutting length of 165 feet for signs, banners, striping, blah blah.....

My first cutter was that model. Don't know if they came with a stand (mine didn't) but for longs runs it would be handy. I used it everyday for 3 or 4 years. The only things I ever replaced were the cutting strip and blades. One that old, if used a lot might need a little maintenance like blade holder, bushings, etc...hard to tell.
I just sold it about a year ago with an older version of Flexi for $500...if that helps.

I think I paid around four grand for that model when it came out. Still using it daily. It doesn't have the down pressure of the newer models for moving heavy materials and cutting real thick stuff. I cut sandbalst rubber with mine all the time though.Mine does perforate patterns too. Send a note to Howard Keiper and ask him...he's a great authority.

The FC Series and the CE Series are completely different animals. The FC plotters are very nice, heavy duty workhorses. The CE's are more light duty.
I would figure probably around $2000-ish for a used machine in good operating condition.
