Has anyone lettered the black vinyl type spare tire covers? I have done the fiberglass type but I now have a customer with the old vinyl with elastic - stretch over the tire type. Is there a type of vinyl that will adhere to that type of surface?

I've succesfully used Avery A8 to do a job like this and *guess* most vinyls will stick if the cover is cleaned properly.
As a little trick I placed my daughter's round snow saucer inside the cover while applying the vinyl. It worked great for support while using the squigee(sp?).

Dana...I agree with Alan. I've done a few of them, again with Avery A8/A9 cast vinyl. No comebacks so far.
Good idea about the snow saucer Alan!
I've always done them on the vehicle so that they are streched over the spare.

We have done it before with excellent results. we have a coroplast circle we cut out to put underneath. We also use Avery A8 for this type of work.
Have a great one!

I've used water-based banner paint & both brushed, & masked + airbrushed on them, with 4-5 years durability so far no problems. Best wishes!

I printed with my PC-60 a picture for a lady of her Arab stallion and put it on her cover. I then printed a pic of my daughter on her horse and put it on the tire cover (that was mounted on a apice of sintra cut in a circle) and kept it in the showroom as a display. One day I set it outside for people driving by to see and hopefully stop. A few hours later it was gone. We have kids walk by but I never heard a thing. I looked in the field across the street and my husband looked in the dumpster, but we never found it.
