Doing a job on some static cling using the process colors from duracoat. I had just run the job on some older static cling that we had in stock, everything looked great. When I threw some new static cling that we picked up that day, I am having some huge problems. Just so you know, the new static cling is the same stuff as before, just newer). There are some pale lines (not quite white, looks likes something printed there) running verticaly through the prints. These line are not striaght, they are curved slightly. I am not sure what exactly to do for this. I have cleaned the machine again, cleaned the static cling, increased heat, and the same problem. Any help on this would be greatly appriciated.

I don't have an answer for you, but would suggest that you also try posting your question on 4EDGEtalk.com

I ran across horrible, expensive, wasteful (in time and money) problems printing with my edge on static cling. I experimented with heat settings, foils (Zeronine and Duracoats and a mixture of them) and things never got to be acceptable.
After calling Zeronine, posting questions on 4Edgetalk, and getting nowhere I remembered that maybe I ought to run this by Glenn Taylor.
He said: Gerber foils, and you won't have any more problems. I hemmed and hawed and he said: case is closed.
He was right. Not another bit of waste on any level. That time, and the other times I have printed on defferent brands of static cling since. I do very much hope that it works the same for you!!!!

Honestly everyone, it is not my call, but my boss's who continuesly buys the duracoat cartridges dispite my constant suggestions to stick with the gerber cartridges. In my opinion the gerber cartridges are of higher quality. And if this proves my point, then I hope I may be one step further. Thanks Everyone!

That, and I forgot to mention again, that the print did work the first time on some material that we had in stock, same brand as what we just bought. That is the only set back in convincing my boss that gerber is the way to go.

Well, got a new roll and everything is working correctly. It's weird. I still stand by the fact that the gerber cart. work better. I am just a step behind conviencing my boss that now.
I am using an Edge 1, just so you know.
