Yes, but will there be a sign at the Fallon Shoe Tree?

Truth be known, I'm not seeking out these obscure sign opportunities...they're searching me out.
Well, OK, not exactly.
They're actually a bi-product of a research tool that I've been playing with.
I just figure that there might be somebody "out there" who can take advantage of them - and it doesn't take me more than 20 seconds to post it.
One man's trash is another man's treasure.
Who knows, Dave...the next one might be in the Granton, ON area!

Mindy asked a good Q: Are there already signshops out there? Your search tool sounds most interesting. Can it also be made to search local Yellow Pages? As you can imagine, these opportunities could be instigated by local shops—in which case, who needs us?

I've been throwing these things out there in the hope that a Letterhead local to the opportunity might be able to benefit.
This being said, there's nothing stopping anyone from giving these things a shot. Who knows? Your vision - your ideas - your design - your pitch - might be better than anything these people get locally. There may (of course) be logistical challenges if you land a job halfway across the country...but with due consideration and planning, those sorts of things are "just details", really.

The last line of this article is the important part...which regretfully will be a major battle. Anyone wanting the challenge will have to spend a couple years getting in good with the "Good Old Boy's Network" or their dead in the water. The folks here won't spend the money needed for quality signage...It ranks at the top of the priority list for only a handful of people. I've been involved with this issue for the past eight years in Fallon, and its been an uphill battle every day. There is a great deal more to this story than you read in the articles and while change will eventually happen, ya better get the whole story before you make any commitments to this opportunity! There have been several sign shops start and fail here in the last couple of years do to relationship issues I mentioned earlier. Good Luck...Robin
