been reading this board for a few days now. a bit of introduction. i work on cars and trucks (i bleed ford) have been since i was little. im about to break into the kit car scean and begin to play with pinstryping. ive played with brush work in the past and loved it. von dutch has gotta be one of the coolest men who ever lived. i also will be begining a dream ive had for years now. a custom harley with the whole distressed paint look. rust runs, primer showing threw the paint look. the info i have found on this site is great and the members seem very nice. glad to be aboard

Let me start off by saying welcome.

I think Ken Howard would cringe at being called cool though.

You going into this business for the love of it or the money?

Welcome, and try & and look at somephotos of Rod Tickle's work car/ute-it was painted really nicely, fading to very realistic rust and nails at the back. He's a resident here.
Best wishes!

First, Hello Ryan!

Second, if you're going into this for the love, great. Just don't forget the money end. [Wink] Nothing worse than under-charging. You'll be working like a dog and wondering why bother, start to forget that you love this stuff, be known as the "cheap guy" so no one will come to you for that awesome work you long to do and you'll be ****ing off those around you who can become your best ally.
