Microsoft is offering a free download on it's newly acquired vector drawing program expressions. You do have to sign up for a .net passport account though.

GOOD GAWD!!!!! NOW THE SOFTWARE IS FREE!!!! I suppose next we'll see free plotters, printers, computers........We've got to make it as easy as we can to enable as many new "sign people" as possible to enter the market. Man, Im so-o-o-o-o-o glad I retired!

Mark, now it's your turn ok? Oh wait, don't do it. I already paid for yours. I'm sure Microsoft plans on upgrading this and charging for that. I wish they would compensate us for all the headaches we had for past Windows releases. Finally get a decent one with XP.

DAVE...ya are good fer somethin.....thx heheheheheh as fer XP being good....iam still workin from my 98SE HARD DRIVE.... i play in XP...i finally got XP to regognize the PCI LPT-2 card....and it cuts from corel....but slower then a bowel movement.....so i dont know if its rolands driver, XP, or workin from the LPT-2 port, but by the time i get it workin they will have a new replacement for XP...which by the way in most place means EXPERIMENTAL!!!!!!!!

Joe....Don't use the drivers from www.rolanddga.com..they are no good, they work but poorly. Go to the Japan site at www.rolanddg.com and use the latest ones from there. The driver version you want is RWD-029.

Whoa guys... let's keep it in perspective..
Expression for PC might be free *now*, but it's also a BETA because this program was orininally MAC only.... a beta release means it's worth absolutely every penny you paid for it (nothing!). It won't be free for very long though.
On the other side of the coin it looks like pretty cool software for illustration and printing.

Downloaded it and played with it for about an hour. A lot of unfamiliar terms, but it works OK.
Think I'll stick to Corel though.
Kinda neat though...I'll have 2 new vector progs to play with this weekend. Corel 12 and this Expressions prog.

What the heck, I'm already trying out the Windows Media Player 10 beta. Nothing like giving the "Bates Gang" a few more chances to lock this puter up....

I installed the Windows Media Player 9 beta a long time ago and havent been able to play any media at all (not even streaming radio stations or audio CD's) except for MOV files which I have to use Quicktime to play. I just don't feel like formatting the hard drive to do a clean install just to get back the ability to watch video clips and get audio from the web.

it wont plot......program starts plotter..but it just sits there.....and how in the heck do you just draw a line?????????

Expression for Mac is FREE too! I downloaded it a month ago.
