man, cannot find any artwork for the Mercury car logo of old. Need the one with the mercury god with winged hard hat. Can't even find old service manual that would what what I feel would be an ideal simple B & W line art on it. Pleeassssee help!! Thanks ahaead of time. Yep......have checked Ask Jeeves, and Google typing in 'mercury god head', 'mercury car logo clipart'. Is their a specific site or do you have any service manuals, ads, etc. with the artwork I described?? Thanks, thanks again. Mick

I got this by doing a Google Image search using Mercury Logo. That's the one where you click the little picture frame icon instead of "search the web"

There are a bunch of things if you try it that way.

Jill and Dave. Great effort...I've learned a couple of things, plus bookmarked 2 great websites for future reference.

Still not quite there. I believe the art will come from an old ad, or service manual for Mercury. Maybe a brochure noting the models. Re-posting this to keep it at the top and to thank you guys for the effort!!

Mick, I have seen what you are talking about, but I can't remember what book. I saw it in a book at the book store (Books-A-Million) in this case. If you have a good bookstore nearby, check out some of the books in the auto section. A lot of the books are just photos of old cars, emblems, etc. ..John

Hey Mick,

here's another

 -

I know you said mercury car, but I tried truck and found these, love all those old brochures, and I'm sure there must be a mercury car fanatic site like these somewhere.
2 cool sites
mercurypickup.com and mercury-pickup.net

old sales ads and brochures
http://www.mercury-pickup.net/gallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=brochures

might get you closer to what you need.

ps added to say, try crazyformercurys.com another car manual picture with another head.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I'm gonna buy me a mercury and cruuu`uuise up and down this road~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ya know this may sound really silly, but before we became so 'puter dependent there were other ways of findin' things too . . . call around to the parts/car yards, or...
Find out who is into collectin' old cars in your area. There's bound to be some old guy around who may actually have the car with ornament in tact.
lol, what about JC Whitney???
Mick,
I tried to e-mail you a vector of what you probably want but it was returned as a bad e-mail address. Post a good one and I'll try it again.
