Dang! Wish I had my camera this morning. For once it wasn't in the van.

Vicky (my daughter) and I were doing a big window in downtown shopping centre, when a local "quickie-sticky" crew arrived to install a 12ft x 3ft sign on the shop nearby.

We wasted so much time watching the antics of these 3 "stooges" we busted a gut laughing.

OK! It had been sectioned into 6ftx18" panels ... white outline background with orange word "CHEMIST".

Their application technique was to peel the backing paper off each panel on the ground. Then two would pick up each end and guide it to the window, holding it as close as possible WITHOUT TOUCHING!!!!. The third would "align" it with a tape. Then proceed to squeegee down from the middle out. Horizotaly [Eek!]

The gentle breeze at that time of day didn't help proceedings. Hate to try this method in a gentle wind [Wink]

Anyway, things go really interesting when they tried to register the rest of the panels of the background. Then down right hilarious when the top layer went on!!!!!

3 guys! 2 hours! Wonder what they charged? [Eek!]

Vicky and I figured 1 hour max install ... 1 person.

Yes, on close inspection, the damn thing was full of bubbles [Smile]

Thanks!

No Ian ... it was "Scotch-Line" !

Maybe they should stick to tinting vehicle windows!

Wonder if they use the same application method [Eek!]

Bill, "Hinge Method"
