I just found out by checking my visa statement online that someone is going on a shopping spree with my visa number! And, it's someone in Montreal with size 11 feet anxiously awaiting his delivery of 4 pairs of Air Jordans to his appartment while he buys music from liquid digital media.com. You have to admire someone like this, at least he's not pirating the music... he's paying for it...WITH MY CREDIT CARD!
I even have his name and address. If I had his phone number I'd call him up and ask him if there's anything else I can do for him.
It looks like I've got him cut off at about $1000.00 US. Thank god for online banking 'cause by the time I get the statement in the mail he'd have the card maxed out!
If I leave now I may be able to make it to his place in time to receive the delivery of shoes. Na, they'd be too big anyway.

Hi Brian, That's a real bummer. My credit card statement keeps getting lost in the post and it's only internet banking that stops me getting charged late payment fees and huge amounts of interest. Hope you get you card sorted. Barbxx

Be sure to phone all the required numbers! Here in the states we have several numbers to call when someone commits this crime (ie. social security, credit report companies, local police as well as closing the frauded account) Fun fun fun, but it has to be done! You're blessed to have so much info on the guy. Stephanie

This happened to me at Christmas. I had never ever accessed my credit card on line, and I don't remember what made me do it on the 26th of December. I noticed with horror that someone in Orlando had charged close to 4000 bucks worth of computer stuff in the previous 2 days, they had themselves a merry little Christmas for sure. They did it in approx. 500 dollar purchases in order not to trigger inquiry. I got a shredder immediately. The credit card company worked with me, it did not cost me anything.
Good you are keeping a sense of humor about it, Brian, even though it stings.

Hey Brian, You called the police, Right?!?!?! The credit card issuer too. Most police departments have task forces set up to investigate and catch these bastages. It's normally a phone call and a few questions on your behalf and the cops take care of everything else. My brother's a cop that was recently assigned to one of these task forces. It's amazing what they can and are willing to do to to procecute the jerks that try to pull stunts like this.
Good luck!
