Monte,
do you think the wind is ever going to stop in OK for five minutes?? I have a shop full of stuff that needs installed and most of it is Dibond or Alumalite.

It's been a constant 20-30 mph 24/7 here in Western OK for over a week!

How do you spell relief??....C A L M

Monte, Mark and I shared the same feelings over the phone yesterday. This time last year I was waiting for the phone to ring and wondering how I was going to pay the rent, and now I almost hope the phone doesn't ring.

Like you, it's been a hectic week (month), but also very profitable. Yesterday we finished a fleet of 12 delivery trucks with digital prints. Good money but I'm certainly glad they are finished. All had to be done outside (too big for the shop) and we had to deal with winds like Mark had mentioned. Along with the sun, 90 degree heat, and sand overflow from a crew sandblasting a water tower across the street.

But, it's still better than working for a living.

Hey guys!
Sounds like here...the only good thing about the winds is that this time they are keeping the temps down to the low 90s...an absolute dream for this time of the year.

The winds have been playing havoc with the golfing. We don't give out rainchecks, in these parts we have to give "windchecks' - I kid you not!

One night about two years ago, my husband left the umbrella up on our patio table and by morning it had flown up and OVER the neighbor's roof into his backyard. Thank god it didn't kill anybody.

Yeah the winds are crazy alright...but as long as they are traveling in one direction and not in those nasty little tight circles (tornados) I'll live with it...looking forward to another "HELL" week next week ...KEEP THEM COMING!

My heart bleeds! How about a foot of snow in the middle of May? And a shop full of finished stuff to be installed. Guess who's working this weekend.

I think the rain that we are getting is worst than winds. But then again we just got off of a tornado warning at 6:30 pm. It has been raining so bad in southern michigan that the ground is so totally satuated that we have flood warning out. Detroit is really bad. I'm out in the country and even out here we are concerned. A few years ago we had rains like this and our country roads washed out leaving many people stranded on theri road or even in their house. Friends of our had a huge, huge culvert across their driveway that got washed out. The only way that they could leave was by canoe to the car. Its that bad again.

Well it was just a typical week in Mazeppa......
Tuesday night a huge thunder storm. I was standing at the door of Mike's workshop watching it and saw an enormous lightning flash hit ground only a half mile away. Unfortunately it blew the electrics in a house which proceeded to burn from the inside. The owners were on vacation so it took a while for anyone to notice the fire. The inside of the house was gutted but the outside was intact. Nevertheless it will have to be demolished. Bummer news for vacation land.
Working on a fire truck the gold didn't apply properly then after re-applyng, clearing and outlining, the black outline wouldn't dry so that's another re-do for tomorrow.
A couple more thunder storms.
On Thursday night in WD's bar a woman came in drunk, muttered something about her husband then proceeded to get down to just an open shirt and her knickers then ambled about the bar showing her ample breasts to everyone. Nice breasts, shame about the face.
Oh yeh, and I got myself a new girlfriend.
NO.....not her!
So there you are, another typical week in Mazeppa.
