As many of you know, Don and I purchased a house with an attached office and garage in November. We've been renovating since then, and I'm finally settled and fairly organized in the office.
Sorry the pics arent the greatest.
We put in this window and door on a cold snowy night...oh the memories. It had an ugly old door and a tiny window that was up high. I wanted to see outside while sitting at my desk. The door you see is the customer entrance to my office. There is a door to the right of that that leads into the 1100 sq ft garage.
This is the vinyl production area, and you can see another door. We put this door in, and it opens into the back landing of the house. Very convenient!
This is where I'm sitting right now! I feel so organized!
More production area and the window that overlooks the back yard patio.
I set up this little art area in hopes that it will inspire me to get back at practising my hand lettering. It also has all my art supplies handy. Paints, chalks, pencil crayons etc. If you look close you'll see the speedball book Rapid Ray sent me, and a whole pack of photos of hand lettering exercises that Bill Riedel sent me. If that doesn't work, nothing will!!
This has been a pretty extensive project for us. We also put all new doors inside the house, installed 3/4" maple flooring (700 sq feet) and ceramic tile in the kitchen and bathroom. We knocked out walls, filled in doors, and made a bedroom into a bathroom, complete with 6' jacuzzi tub. We put new maple cupboards in the kitchen, and installed an energy efficient fireplace that is ducted into the furnace. We can turn the furnace fan on, and blow the heat throughout the house. We are still working on the basement. We just finished drywalling, and will be laying carpet and installing a dropped ceiling in the next couple of weeks.

That looks great Suelynn. Very inspirational. The warm colors & lots of light look great & the furnishings seem to lend a nice blend of a home & office feel to the space.
That's great, Suelynn. Looks like a lot of personal touches went into setting it up and I really like the coloring in the room. Nice relaxing environment to work in.

Thanks everybody! I hope I can keep it that way! The garage is a different story! It is so packed full of stuff that I hate even going in there. One thing at a time I guess!
Here's some more reno pics just for fun: This is Don doing the late-nite jig on the fireplace hearth.
Me installing some flooring...it took us 4 full days. The kids pitching in...they are helping with a tile mosiac around the new tub. Don't they look excited to be there??? Don relaxing after another late night!
Sorry for overloading the album Barb!! Somebody stop me!!!

I am soooo happy for you Suelynn!!! I'm still in boxes here! I can only imagine how excited you are but I know it's a good thing!
I hope all your hard work and dedication turns out to be very profitable! You deserve it!
Now get over to that drawing table and get busy!!!!!!!! ...so you don't feel guilty when you sit in front of that beautiful fireplace in the evenings! LOL
Much Love and Laughter to you!
PS - Might I suggest a door stop so that your desk/computer does not get beat to death by the onslaught of happy customers crashing through your door? LOL
