hello everyone,i'm a new guy on the letterheads site and just wanted to introduce myself. my name is matt minjares and i live in phoenix. i've made a few posts already to get some help on some window lettering and thanks to all who helped me out! the job is going great so far, i have to finish it tommorrow. i've always been interested in lettering. i started pinstriping about a year ago and then got into sign painting and there's no turning back now. i'm lucky enough to have a job that lets me paint signs for them after i showed them some of my work. right now i'm working about 3 out of 5 days on signs at my current job, best of all i get to do it at home, it's great. i've just been told that they want me to make 7 vintage style motel and diner signs, a little smaller of course, but it will still be fun. well just wanted to say hello, i would love to meet anyone in my area in the business. i'm interested in learning more about any kind of lettering; truck, sign, window, or gilding especially. if anyone needs someone to sweep up their shop,i would love to hang out and learn a few things!

Hi Matt. Glad to hear that your window job is going well. Isn't there supposed to be a meet in New Mexico maybe this fall? Once you go to a meet, you will be even more addicted to signs & painting than you are now! Have fun. Love...Jill

Hey Matt (yes, it's another sign gal, are you getting tired of us yet? ) I think you've got a great attitude. You won't be sorry for getting into this trade, and Letterville can be a great help. Check out the Residents Draw Winners post, I just won a set of fonts worth three times as much as the resident fee here, pretty good deal, eh? Just another shameless plug, don't feel pressured
