I took my grand daughter to the Oklahoma City art festival today and met an artist named Anthony Ross from Santa Anna California and his work stopped me cold...I just had to spend time visiting with him and visit we did.
His work is unbelievable...as you go thru his site you'll think his work is photographic...but it's not...it's all done in acrylics and all of his work is our favorite subject here.
He specializes in finding 40's 50's and 60' neon signs as his models. and he renders them perfectly.
One of my first questions was whether or not he is in the trade...his answer was no , his life is art...which is fantastic... but believe me he could do the job.
Check out his site, www.ross-art.com It's a huge site and may take a while to load for you modem folks ...but spend the time he's really worth it.
One of his pieces is the recently aquired American Sign Museum sign "Kona Lanes" (Bowling Center)
He's a great guy and he even presented me with one of his full color sales catalogues.
I told him all about this site and he'll be checking in...if you like what he's doing (and you will) leave him a contact message.

What a cool idea. What a talent! I hope he never runs out of subject matter! Thanks for sharing, Monte. Love...Jill
