Check out my shop apron. I came across this in a catalog and mentioned to Jane that I thought the apron looked pretty cool, so lo and behold, she got it for me for Christmas this year. The weiner dog does not come with the apron, though.
Here's what I carry in this sucker. You're never without the tool you need, and it keeps the paint off your clothes. These are available from

Cool apron! And great picture of you and the most darling weiner dog I've seen to date!
I have an apron dealer I ran across working at the print shop... when I get back I'll have to add the web address to this. (We should contact them about advertising HERE! )

Man, how can you move with all that stuff in your pockets!?!? I do like the leather reinforcements wider shoulder straps and the larger size for painting. The main apron I use is from Sears for about $5.00 It's bigger brother is about 50¢ more They normally last me about a year before the front pocket, where I carry my tape measure, starts to wear out. I'll post a picture of mine stocked in the morning.

No Michael, Jane never lets me see any money. We just threw that in there as a joke -- sort of like "Where's Waldo?" Checkers, I went from the bigger of the 2 you posted to a homemade one to this one. Surprisingly, with the way that thing is designed, it distributes the weight evenly across your shoulders, and it just doesn't seem heavy. It was stiff at first, because it's canvas, but it's broken in now and comfortable. I don't wear it always -- like when I'm pinstriping.

Hey Michael, don't let him fool ya! He keeps all his "mad money" stashed under his desk in the safe in a cardboard box...(he doesn't know I know though, so don't tell him!) hehehehe

Apron is cool! Wiener dog is COOLER. My dad has 2, one long and one short hair redheads. Best buds he could ask for, does yours sit up on its hind legs and beg? I had a short haired black and tan with Diabetes, lost her 5 years ago,, a great void for a small dog.
What was your post about again? Oh ya, Shopdogs. I would send a picture of my shopdog in my arms but he's a 75lb Shar Pei! He greets everybody who comes in or near my shop. My shopcat loves customers too!

Yeah Michael, Heidi sits ups and begs. It's weird seeing a long body like that sit up at a 90 degree angle. She's all about food and has a whale of a bark for such a small creature. Her biggest trick is baying. She can carry on quite a conversation with ya.

Here's the pic of my tool belt. I don't leave home without it Bill, I gotta look into yours. I would like to carry more "stuff" but the weight and the cheezy straps on the big one I posted above made it uncomfortable. A little trick for carrying your exacto is to line one of the pockets with a cigar or paint ball tube. Just stuff some foam or paper in to the bottom. I've been doing it this way for nearly 10 years now without accident - now that i just jinxed myself!

Just hammer in the morning, hammer in the evening and brush all day long. Even the gal in the background painted on Mike's tool cabinet looks impressed.......she's been waiting to see a proper TOOL for years!!!!!

Brian, I just threw my apron in the dumpster. I want to know where I can get one just like yours. I mean you can be the hammer or you can be the nail. God, I'm glad it's Friday!!!!!!!!

Bill, I can't tell you where I got my dandy apron or everybody would want one!!!! But, sure as ****, I certainly didn't get it in Walmart or any other corporate outlet. It's good for keeping paint off the wedding tackle but I don't know how it stands up to stray vinyl waste....... and that's something I will never know!!! Don't be so quick to throw yours away.......any apron with paint on it has a history. BE PROUD OF YOUR APRON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm proud of mine!!!!
