I have a customer who is in new york and he owns a construction business.

He wants a full vehicle wrap with the new york city skyline as the background, and he specifically wanted to have the twin towers big, with the empire state bldg and statue of liberty as well. All in a blue sky and cloud background. Then the rest of it pretty about what kind of services he offers. Nothing unusual.

But my question is that since the towers are no longer there and the city will build a complete new gigantic building later, does it make sense to use the old skyline? And also since the towers are gone, could such image possibly offend anyone in the sense that they might remind people of what happened on sept.11....

The guy was born in the city, and insisted on having those images.... How can I persuade him otherwise or it is not necessary? please help...

I guess I would have to say if that's what he wants, do it! If he specifically said he wanted the towers to be large, that's probably exactly what he wants.

If you don't want to, I'm sure he'll find someone who has no problem doing it.

Give him what he wants. Its not your controversy if there's to be one. If it means that much to him then let him deal with it. No big deal.

Isn't a city skyline without the towers as big a reminder as one with. I have always felt the the purging of WTC imagery from everything (credits of "Sex in the City"(never watched it) and "The Sopranos"(always watch this)for example) as disrespectful of the memories of those that died there.

2: Get out !

Personally, I would be HONORED to have the opportunity to do something incorporating the towers.
They are now historical monuments in a way, and can be considered a source of U.S. pride, and I have more to add to that tho't, but the rest of my comments are of my personal political opines so I'll refrain, lol [Wink]

I too would love the chance to apply a graphic of the Two Towers to something....'cept I might get a tear stain or two on them....

Now do the trucks! Bbut, take the oppportunity to suggest his next batch of trucks use a slight fade of the towers with the new towers overlayed? New glory/ Old glory kinda thing? Sounded interesting when I first thought...
