I was just checking out A.M.A.L. Mag and saw a British issue. Are you folks going to have another meet soon?

There is a sign show at the end of this month in the UK but it is more like a trade show (I think) with a few demos. I sure wish that someone would have one in Scotland. Having been there once, I said it was the only time I could afford to go, but I think I would max out my Visa if I had a chance to go back. I like USA meets best, (Canada too) but the atmosphere is just so great over there. I miss my best friend Catherine Foster from Cowdenbeath. And the fish & chips! Maybe someday my friend..... Love...Jill

As far as I know there are no plans for a UK meet, which is a shame I know of a few people who get together now and then but on a national level nobody is interested . Lots of people have lots of excuses why they cant do it, funny how these people seem to get a lot from Letterheads but dont want to put back in .thats me upsetin a few I know but so what. There has been more interest over in Ireland there is talk of another meet there. Stewart said he might put a meet on 2005 in Scotland but I dont know if thats on yet ,Any way he has done his bit by hosting the 98 meet. Seems that we have not had a Wesh meeting yet maybee they have some good excuses too Cheers Terry

The show at the end of this month is just a big place for the makers of equipment to show us their new products. its at the NEC in Birmingham, no the nicest place in the world but im going anyway as i want to buy either a gerber or a roland versa cam, not sure which one is best at the moment. (any comments) Anyway its called Sign UK and runs from 30th March - 1st April entry is free so if you are over here get along there. Lots of new kit gonna be on display.

Yep the UK sign show is a sign supplier’s exhibition. There are some live demos there also. Dave Smith & Steve Broughton will be doing some traditional work over the 3 days amongst some other live demos on V-wrap and the like. Its more of a walk round see what’s new and buy a machine on special offer for the show. Then hit the bar for a beer or ten I plan to go along to buy a wide format printer and laminator. I will be at the show for 2 days. Ill be staying at a hotel on the complex and meeting up with about 10 or more folk from the UK for a few drinks.. Should be fun.. But nothing compared to a meet like you guys have.. If ever there are plans for a Scottish letterhead meet, ide be happy to help put things together with whoever is hosting it. Use my site also as much as you like to announce and bulk mail from.. Having said that.. Ill do the same for any letterheads meet you plan in the UK?
