I am looking into buying some software for my mac to run a Summa plotter. Anyone have any input on which software is better or has more options?

If you're already used to Illustrator, then magisign is your best choice. It's a plug-in, not a bridge program. So, it literally turns your Adobe Illustator into a cutting sign program.
