Im looking at Buying the Versacamm But would like to see a print off it. Since I cant seem to get my Distributor to even call me back on the machine I would like to know if any of you owners out the would like to do two prints for me.I will pay for them Im not looking for a Freebee That way I can kill 2 birds with one stone I can finish up this job and watch the prints over the next year to see what they do since one is on the north side and the other is facing South it will be a good test to see what the sun does to them at 6000 feet.. Not looking for gerber prints since I can do that locally. The prints are the same file approx 32"x43". Please email or call if intrested

There are lots of Roland distributors out there---why are you 'tied' to this guy who apparently doesn't want your business.

If he won't call you back, move onto the next one...

The versacamm will accept media up to 30" and is a 4 colors printer.
The Sc540 ex is 6 colors and print on material up to 54".

Nice day to you.

Roland Sales are regional. I talked to Someone at ND Sales I think. It was a few weeks ago and they said they couldnt sell me one due to the region. We have a Midwest Sign Supply here but they dont carry Roland Equipment. I will check around more.
I was trying to do buisness with a LV Merchant but none in my neck of the woods.
Thanks.

this is a fairly good thread on the versacam.
http://www.uksignboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=4141
sorry, i dont mean to direct folk from one board to another but this thread is a decent discussion on this topic.

my veiw on the versacamm has changed some..
well thats a lie. i still think i would prefer a true solvent printer. but! i do think if the downside of this printer is taken into consideration when purchasing, it is a brill bit of kit to get your hands on.
the option is yours? eco solvent or the exact same machine in true solvent. [Roll Eyes]

If you use a spray UV Clear like Super frog, then the the smudging would'nt be of concern, but the jury's still out on this one, after reading all the negative posts on the rolands printers one should be a little cautious.

For those of you who are completely dissatisfied, Did roland offer any kind of compensation at all? What do someone do when they are led down the Garden Path.

Thanks Rabert That was a very intresting thread. read all nine pages.. I think Ill wait some more time before buying the machine. That way I dont have to sell the Harley. I'll just outsource for awhile and go riding.
