I COULD use COrel Draw for scanning, but in my experience over the years, with about a half dozen scanners I have found that the software that comes with the scanner is usually the best for that particular scanner. I would think that whatever sign making software you have should have the ability to do a scan.
The actual job of vectorizing is not done by the scanner, however. That is done either by a trace program (CorelTrace, your signmaking software trace program or Streamline or whatever) OR it is, again in my experience, usually better to use the scan as a template and manually draw over it with a vector drawing program.

Almost all programs use the TWAIN driver that came with your scanner in some form or another. Some just bring up your twain driver some use their own interface but still use the twain driver.
try for an updated driver if your scanning is not what you like.

Vinyl Master pro has a good vectorizing program. You need to scan with your scanner, save the bitmap in black and white(line art) or reduce the colors to 8bit and then import into vmp Bill
