I wonder what it would be like to just once open a thread that managed to stay on topic after the first half dozen or so replys...........
Not much chance of that ever happening though...........I think the word that comes to mind is "RUDE" and the next one "Inconsiderate"..........
This is one of the reasons I seldom come here anymore.........Too many people with the attention span of a grape.....
Ryan..... I appologize for taking your thread off on yet another BS direction, but it has obviously already been turned into something else...........!!
Hope to see ya in a couple of weeks, hopefully there will be something to learn and share that will be about paint, art, pinstriping, etc.....NOT Politics, religion, or hockey.......!! That crap should be saved for letterville....!!
Thanks.........cj

I just wish to meet all the really nice people. And, of course learn some more from the masters.. Ive already set that friday off from work. Just gotta get one more duck in line and i can be there.

I've been to about 190 of their last 200 home games without needing tickets.
We sell a couple hundred tickets day of the game for $8.00.
Update, just demolished the AHL team calling themselves the Rangers 5-2.
CJ with his usual "contribution" Has he ever said anything positive? He's one of the reasons I seldom come here anymore. If you hate reading posts that much, don't come by at all.

haha..I agree Dennis.....he still owes me a flashlight that he tried to engrave. He probably has a huge box of the ones he spelled wrong, It can't all be positive, ya gotta have the negative soothsayers lurking around.
Just to satisfy some of the people that worried about this getting off topic.....I will be driving ALOT of miles to get the paint brushes out and GO FOR IT at the civil war 2004! Donald and Ryan came all the way to Mazeppa, I can go to South Carolina! I'm bringing a glass gold leaf panel and I would like to bring some extra glass pieces, already screened, for sale, so people can get into Gold on glass! Just before I leave I'll try and post the artwork and size.
I will be bringing lots of left over stuff from the Muster for sale as well.
Now, Dennis, congrats on your club kickin the hell out of the Rangers! If people don't like Hockey interjected on any posts, screw em. I don't like guns, religon or mini goals either, but I ain't bitchin'!
This bulletin board is to like a real-life Letterhead Meet. If you have never been to one, this board is very similar, because you have all kinds of different bickering, and laughter and seriousness going on all around you. How Steve, the Mayor, keeps it all under control is beyond me.!!!
Love it or hate it! That's life.
See you in Dixie!

Hockeys cool with me as long as it's the Bruins. Ok if there's gonna be a panel battle hows that gonna work. Since you have everyone listed in three catagories shouldn,t there be a third faction. Maybe I have the wrong idea on how this is going to work. Anyway Back to the original topic Asheville use to have a hockey team it was called the Smoke. They had a lot of problems keeping the civic center cold enough for the ice to stay frozen. So they canned the Smoke and brought in a basketball team called the Altitude. Wish they kept the hockey team. Roger

What do we have 11 days or so? I think I'm on the in here...still need to iron out some more details.
Denis and Mike, You guys sure know how to kick a guy when he's down. In between Ranger tears I know these guys are a joke (Insert "Fire Sather" chant)...B. Leetch hurt the most.
But anyway...sniff, Glad to see the head count for the meet getting bigger.
Don and Ryan, Are there any Civil War historical sights near by? I love to stop and read those little blue signs. We don't get to see much Civil war stuff here, NJ is loaded with Revoutionary War history. Washington did sleep here!

Did Washington do anything besides sleep? The guy has slept everywhere in NJ. Its a wonder that were even separate from the British today.
Did anyone tell Donald and Ryan that they lost the war yet? That reminds me of Keith Richards, the guy doesnt know he died yet.

This is one meet we have been planning on attending since last year, but it's just not going to happen for us. Apologies to Ryan and Donald, new Letterheads attending their first meet and all our wonderful buddies from past meets.
This just hasn't been our year so far. My health status hasn't been good the last couple months. That's always a concern for anyone traveling south of the border and unable to buy health insurance.
We were prepared to come anyway. We're fedup with Winter. For the past couple years, we've been attending Fred Self's Meet, then spending time with Alton and Mary Gillespie in Dallas before escaping to the warmth of Florida. Mazeppa was teriffic, but I love the Sun myself.
The final decision to stay home is a visit by my Dad. He's flying in from Calgary tomorrow. We haven't seen him in 3 years. Since he's only staying 10 days, our hands are pretty well tied.
This is going to be one special meet. We really enjoy getting around folks like Ryan and Donald. I'll miss having Ryan hijack my laptop and Letterville. Here's hoping they will have a internet connection available so we can join the meet via chat.

Has she still got all of her teeth? You know how them southern boys act when a girl still has all her teeth. That means she is "the cream of the crop." It may be that she has to watch out for some of those "creepy old Northerners" that are looking for a Southern Belle.

CJ sorry to hear your engraving business is doing so poorly that you need to masquerade as a sign guy. Enjoy your stay in Florida, can't blame you for getting out of Kentucky. If you crank that handle on the side of your phone real fast your internet connection should speed up. If not ask Sarah the operator what to do. Don't think you'll have a very good time at Ryan and Donald's meet. People might have the audacity to talk about something other than signs. Seems to happen at every meet I go to. Seems to happen a lot at this on-line Letterhead meet. Seems like most people have life beyond One Shot and Sign Foam.

hahaha C.J. I started the "New Thread" like you told me..and I did it with a smile on my face, I met you in Kentucky and then we met again at Mark Fair's...I think you are a fun guy, and we laughed alot both times we met, I hope to laugh some more in South Carolina with you. I never meant for any of my posts to go angered towards you, I'm not that way. Posts that go off to hockey are much more easy going than the religious and political rants! So, if you get bent out of shape on just a little'ol thang like hockey......you gots ta adjust medication brother! Now, I can't wait for this here Dixie Meet, it's gonna be fun! The Yanks from the Northeast are really gathering troops to storm down on Johnny Reb! Whether you are North or south, I think the car pool idea is great and should be done more often for Letterhead Meets!
My apoligies to the Mayor Steve Shortreed on the "new Thread" post, I never meant to stir anything up, just trying to make a different side of the story. I'm sorry Steve, I'll sit in the BB Penalty Box for 5 minutes...OOPS Sorry about the reference to HOCKEY..another 5 minutes?

Before any of this **** gets out of hand I am stepping in. Stop the ****ing match right now. This is my post and my meet. CJ has a slow dial up and says that it takes a while to load long posts. He is a stand up guy and my freind. I understand where he is coming from. Do I agree that the post should have stayed on topic with an iron fist. NO. This post is to stir up intrest to my meet in any way it can.I dont want a post that stays at the top with no additions. I can tell when something new is said becouse it goes to the top.
Mike and Dennis are also my freinds and stand up guys. Do I think Mike and Dennises replys were out of line and mean spirited. No I think they were freindly jabs. BUT befor this gets more fired up and someone gets ****sed drop it for no reason other than your respect for me and Donald. All of you are my freinds there is no one in this world that is not invited to this meet. Chill out. I know no one is mad at each other but I feel this should stop now befor someone gets mad. And screw the spelling I have too much to do right now. See yall soon in Dixie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Atta Boy Ryan! Welcome to the Zany world of running a Meet!
Here's the truth...C.J. and I were on the same farm club in Moose Jaw back in the early 60's and I was a left winger, C.J. was a goalie and even back then he was slow at "starting up" and now all these years later it's even his computer! Anyway, he was cut from the team and went to being a biker .
The rest is history.

Myself, I do a good bit of custom paint on the side. I can't stripe all that great, but I'm working on that.
Neither of us have ever been to one of these Jams. Im not sure what to expect. Should I bring my brushes, my airbrush...anything else?
