Hi guys! I looked into this myself.. Done some tests etc. The first question is what do intend using this machine for?
The versacamm has its drawbacks like any machine. So far, I can honestly say I have heard only good reports from about 5 users of the machine in the UK. But remember! It is A very new machine…

Durability and UV resistance of prints would be my major concern. A respectable print/cut speed would also be a concern. Exact color matching would not. If I could expect a true 3+ years durability and fade resistance I'd get my check- book out. I'd like to test it's ability to print on any brand HP 2 mil vinyl as well. I plan on checking it out at the Sign Business Show this year.

I ordered one Jan. 12, and am still waiting for the machine as of today...My supplier kept telling me it is the hottest hottie under the sun right now, but the wait has been an agony... Called Roland in CA, and was told there was an another 2 to 3 weeks delay :-(. Anyway, it definitely will be here this week.
I have done extensive research on this machine, and had compared with numerous others, and had even seen it working at the Atlantic city sign show last Dec. It sure looked delicious. Will keep you all posted with my first hand experience.
This is basically what they call an "entry" level printer/cutter, meaning there are some compromises made to make it cheaper, like size, speed and color gamut (only 4 inks, the bigger one has 6). Depending on what you ultimately desire, it may or may not be your choice.
