My supplier has stopped carrying that nasty chemical XXL1000 The chemical you spray on and it loosens up the Vinyl, and then you can peel it right off. I'm looking for another Canadian supplier, anybody?

I noticed this stuff in the newest Ameriban catalog, it's called Grog Gel, supposedly 100% biodegradable and odorless, that does the same thing.
There's an 800 number on the label attached to the bottle in the photo, it's kinda tough to make out but maybe you can try giving them a call and see if they have a distributor near you.
Here's the number (or as best as I can make it out): 1-800-878-7449

Mike thanks for the info, I just called Ameriban and they said that they can fly it, but it only comes in 16oz cantainers, and I have several 20ft trucks to do, so maybe I'll try that.
Dale I'll try to get more info on the John Deere Stuff, thanks.

Neil, try 3M 08907 Woodgrain & Stripe Remover. You should be able to get it at an automotive store. I got it at our little UAP/NAPA store locally and it worked great. You may be looking for bigger quantities, but try a can and if you like it you can look into buying in volume. Maybe ND Graphics can order it for you.

That stuff is murder on paint, especially if it is not factory baked enamel. I always maintain that the steamer is the absolute only way to remove vinyl. Safe, cost effective & complete

Yes I agree heat is the best to use when the Vinyl is intact but, sometimes the vinyl has deteriorated to the point that it only comes off in little pieces or there's hardly no vinyl at all left so a chemical is really the only solution. But we have to be careful on the paint.

I have removed thousands of yards of vinyl without a single casualty. And with a tool that costs under $100. Your Rapid Remover does work well with the adhesive residue which is very minimal compared to heat gun method.

No, I have worked with them in the BS environment, but never used it for vinyl removal. All I am saying is that it, (the steamer), in no way hurts the surface, and works well with Rapid products.
