I often have to ship decals(for vehicles) and wondered how others here wrap/package/ship decals.

I use R-tape Conform series transfer tape for all my decals as it does seem to stay flatter and thus doesn't get stuck to other decals as easily as with other brands. We usually roll up the graphics and ship in 24" vinyl boxes (as most of our vehicle graphic packages use graphics up to 24" wide). We fill the extra space in the box w/ recycled packing peanuts.

I've used Gregory for printed decals, and they put theirs in a plastic sleeve before rolling and boxing.

Any other methods/tips? Especially interested in StickerPimps method as he seems to ship a LOT of em.

I use R Tape Conform as well, although I haven't noticed much difference in its ability to lay flat around the edges as compared to other tapes, but it does seem to work around compound curves a little easier.

The size and quantity of the graphics dictates how I ship.

Boat registration numbers or a single windshield banner, I roll up with the transfer tape towards the outside, slip it into a vinyl core, tape up the ends with strapping tape, label and ship.

If there's too much material to wrap neatly within a vinyl core (ie: it wants to pucker) I'll use a shipping box in a size that allows the material to be loosely wrapped so it lays flat.

I usually send my jetski graphics out in a box about 12"x12"x6" or I might recycle a vinyl shipping box if I have any laying around.

When I re-use cores or vinyl boxes I make sure to black out any brand names, lot numbers, anything describing what kind of material it is, in order to keep anyone from searching for sources. Not that it's any big secret but the more we can protect our sources the less our customers can devalue our work by not knowing our costs.
