Murray left this morning, and arrived safely this afternoon. I did my best good wife thing, and was very warm & supportive - but I'm really pouting 'cause I had to stay home and work!!! It was really stupid to start a new job in January. Anyone else following the postings & wishing they were there? Debbie

I wanna do it all! But reality says I have to make choices constantly. This time the choice was to be elsewhere. Maybe next time!
I hope all there have a great time!

Yeah...I really hate missing a really great meet!
But my mom just passed away and I have a lot of things to take care of right now. And with not being able to work much the last two months there just isn't the money for it.
Besides...I don't own any really cold weather gear, in fact I've never been in anyplace that cold in my life, it's frankly rather intimidating.
I'll just have to stay in and watch HEAD TV from my dad's heated office.
I'll open a can of One Shot for the 'smell effect'! A
Been following Mike's post and, with all the great folks planning on going, I sure wish I could have freed up the time for it. Maybe next year (geez...spoken like a true Red Sox fan).

Yeah, bummed I'll miss it ... as I am when I miss most of them. Once my kids get a bit older and I get more time for me you guys will get sick of seeing me but for now I hit them all in spirit. Maybe I'll go into the cold garage, put on some polka music and pretend this weekend.

I really wish I were going. I still hear people talking about how great the last meet in Mazeppa was. I've promised myself I'll be there for the 2005 meet though!

We're missing all you guys and gals too! Just got back from lunch across the street at WDs. Fried chicken, pork chops, mashed potatos. What a feast!
Someone said we might get 9 inches of snow tonight. Pat Neve's kid from Florida is havin' a ball playing in the white stuff!

Steve, remember how much fun Pat's boys had playing in the puddles in Florida? The snow has got to be a real thrill for a southern lad. Take a fes pics, I am laughing trying to imagine them and the glow on their faces.

I DON'T CARE IF IT'S 20 BELOW... THIS WAS NOT A MEET TO MISS! The good folks in Mazappa, the memories, and the fun will keep you warm for a lifetime, not to mention a few good drinks!
No two meets are alike, and when you miss one, it's not like your going to get a chance to do it over. Its gone forever!
We have CNC Router training to prepare for, 600 miles in the opposite direction. We can't do both, and it really makes me grit my teeth!

Perhaps this is a new twist, but no I'm not bummed, here's why:
I WOULD O.D. I'd be spinnin'. My jaw would probably fall off from nonstop gabbing. My throat would get hoarse, I'd forget to drink enough water, probably forget to eat, get ill from neglect, keep talking some more, try to put so much awesome info in my head in too short a time, get MAYBE 3 hours of sleep a night, etc.
I'd be like an alchoholic in a Scotch whisky distillery. It's bad enough when I'm talking to ONE other sign person, man, a whole meet?
This is no exageration.

A few weeks ago, I was pouting and whining about not being able to go and my husband looked at me and said...SO GO!
I thought about it for about 3 minutes and then said, Minnesota in February!?!?!? Are you out of your mind??!?!?! It was about 55º in Los Angeles last night and I was shivering. (I'm NOT kidding.)
Hahahahahaha! But yes, I still wish I was there.

HAhahaha! You make me laugh Mike. Looks like you had another great meet. Seems there is no doubt you know how to through a party. Yep, I wish I could have been there, but I wish I could be at all of them. Maybe another time.
Question: Can you put the "na na na na na na na na" to music?

You know I know how some of you warm weathered people feel. It was 70 something degress when I left Los Angeles, and three hours later the pilot is saying when have to circle a couple of times around St Paul/Minneapolis because of the weather, and we are not that high up and I can see the lights on the ground and nothing but snow, and most of the streets look empty, but then again I am not sure exactly where we are. The twin cities are big. I am looking down thinking "what the hell did I get myself into this time, it's looks cold as hell down there!" I had all the right clothes, but I never really been to a "real cold region" so to me this was something totally different. But to teel you the truth, it ain't no big thing. That Mall of America, I never saw a mall that big, a huge carnival inside, snowing outside, the place was full of people. But it also reminding me of that joke of the snow, where the guy really trips out on the snow to later find out he has to shovel it and his vehicle gets stuck, and on and on. But for the few days I was there, it was Mike who made you feel like you was right at home, and also all the othere people there, painted and partied like there was no tomorrow. When they said it was 20 degress I thought I was surving a "heat wave" And to me that was well worth it! who said it..."I'll be bacccck"
