Hey folks,
I'e been looking to get a relatively low cost vinyl printer (12" if we have to, would prefer a 24" to 30") to be used to produce graphics for nascar hoods, etc. While researching this, I have come to the conclusion I don't have a clue which process might be best for this. Realizing I'm cutting a few corners I probably don't need to, I was wondering if you folks had any suggestions that might speed this process along a bit. Thanks.

Sounds like you need a used Roland PC60 or 6000.
The ribbons cost a little more, but the machines cost less going into it.

A new PC12 (under 5k) would be the ticket

Interesting you should mention those two, John & Bob, I've been looking at both the PC 12 & 600. I've also noticed Ebay had some listed. That might be a way to go, though I really don't understand the processes the various machines use.
