We are going into a heat spell today. Last night was 15 and is supposed to get up into the low 30's today. I haven't seen this much snow since the 70's. Back then when the snow plows would go thru, all you could see is the top of the street signs sticking out. We have many back roads that are almost blown shut.

It's 2:30am early Tuesday morning, but we're still determined to be up and on the road to Mazeppa by 10am. Hoping to get thru Chicago tomorrow before finding a room for the night.
Our 24 year old son Adam will be coming along. He's all excited about becoming a PinHead these days. Nothing better than a Letterhead meet to give him the chance to get more info firsthand.
Find me a nice, comfy spot in Ores Mike! Looking forward to meeting lots of new people this trip.

We were supposed to get freezing rain last night but I just woke up and looked outside and there is ....
I had to edit this as I must have been sleep walking when I looked otuside and thought I saw snow. Actually its real hazy, warm, and everything looks like it could be melting and leaving ice underneath everything. Sure glad I'll be leaving for the Muster tomorrow. Its got to be warmer. Hehehe

With a post like this, how can anyone say no??? Can't wait to get out of here tomorrow. Just make sure that snow is off the roads, I don't want to spend time plowing, I want to have fun, fun, fun.
So, how much snow did Mazeppa get? Here we got about 10". Had to drive the bad boy truck the last to days to the shop. Only had it sideways a couple of times. (Ha Ha - Hubby don't know that...)
Well, I will be hopping in the car and leaving in about 24 hrs. Yippie.
See Ya.

12 hrs from now, I'll be sitting at the airport waiting for my flight. Got all the bills paid and still had money left for panel saw. Can't wait to win it.
I need this meet and time away. I have been telling customers that I am on the verge (from all the stress) of spontaneous combustion. So if I don't make it, every will know that I combusted.
ps. I have learned from the few other letterhead meets that I have been to that everyone wears name tags the first day and then name tags of old-time members seem to get lost the second day. I hope that I can persuade some of the regulars to wear theirs a bit longer for all us newbies.

I am starting to soooooo regret entering the paid workforce in January. This meet is sounding like it is going to be wonderful - and I'm staying home. Mur is busily packing & finishing up the last few jobs - and I'm staying home. I know he (and everyone else) will have a great time - and did I mention that I'm staying home - but I'm not pouting. But I will be by Saturday.
Have a great meet everyone, Debbie

We're getting closer! Decided to use the camper van at the last moment so that I could lay down. My leg and butt muscles are still killing from that fall a couple weeks back.
We've just checked into a Comfort Inn in Michigan City, just East of Chicago. Hoped to get furthur, but I'm beat. Our son Adam is bouncing off the walls in anticipation of his first Letterhead Meet.
The phone number here is 219-879-9190 Room #112 if someone really needs to contact us. Looking forward to seeing Mike, Ayleen and all the rest of you.

Blimey, look at that gang in the last pic - the last time Great Britain exported that many delinquents, we ended up with Australia! And I see they're all getting their official Mazeppa haircuts as well....

A word to the wise to the attendees, the penalty box is in full effect, so watch any stupid moves coming out of your mouth!

Please don't all and tell me your coming, or ask if Mazeppa has running water, or if the houses have windows.....yes, Donald, we have heat INSIDE but only from a heat lamp when goats are giving birth!
Oh Pierre you are ALWAYS welcome in Mazeppa!

Just a short note to tell you all to have a blast! We were hoping to pull off a miracle and show up at the last minute, but I've developed broncitis this week, and just can't get there.
I'll be thinking of you all weekend. I hope whomever wins my panelsaw will appreciate it like I would have! I wish I could bid on some of the panels too. My new shop walls are begging for some cool stuff.
Everybody give Mike a hug for me please.

Finally got here. Mike picked Jeff Ogden and myself up at the airport. Jillbeans hasn't arrived yet. Steve and Barb showed up in shorts and cut-off t-shirts. They must have thought it was summer with the warm spell they are having here now. I think it got up to 17 degrees today.
