We got here late last night just in time to celebrate New Years at Janis' brother's place, three hours earlier than we would have at home on the west coast.
Today it was time go go to Universal's Islands of Adventure park. It was busy but it gave me lots of time to check out the many awesome signs once again.
The weather forcast is perfect for the next week... low 80's and sunny. It really makes me miss the snow we were getting when we left... NOT!!!!!!!!
We have three weeks left to go and already I have enough new ideas and inspiration to keep me going for another year!
The digital camera is going to get a good workout to be sure!
'Working' hard here in central Florida...

I don't know if you've ever slogged through a theme park for a day, or even weeks on end...
I'll have you know I take 'research' very seriously. It is hard 'work' ya know. And in the blazing sun too...
Tomorrow its off to Kennedy Space Center. Once there I will fill my digital camera with many, many images I can use as research material in future projects. And while much of it is in books to be sure, there's nothing as good as doing it firsthand.
I need those experiences to be the best designer I can be.
You should get out more too... it's tax deductable too!

Have a wonderful 'working' trip you two! Enjoy the sun, food, sights, etc. Sorry you missed out on the snow here.
We actually had a decent accumulation of snow this time! The quality of it was poor the 2nd day but it hasn't melted yet so it still looks purdy out here. And we're due for more over the weekend too!
Don't forget your sunscreen and I won't forget my snow shovel.

Hey Dan! You guys lucked out as it was cold for a couple weeks in early December.
Hope you have a good safe trip. We're about 40 min. NE of Orlando if you guys have time, give us a shout and we'll do dinner or something. If you're too busy at least you are in all the fun places. Enjoy!

Becarefull of what you are snaping shots of. My future son in law works security at one of those parks, and they get real curious of anyone taking photos of things that most tourists wouldn't photograph, like us artists would.
One guy was taking pictures of the entry gate, turn styles, and they hauled his ass off to security and confiscated his camera. They thougt he was somne freaking terroist trying to sabotoage the entry gates and was doing some sort of research.
