Ok, so say I wanna different look for a layout, but I'm too cheap (or poor) to buy a whole clip-art CD--Has anybody out there bought single images like they offer at Roland/vector or OCA? Are there other cool sites for this? How usable is what you get? I've seen this for tattoo designs, but they're like $15 a pop!

I bought a 700,000 images with a book and can usually find anything I need in there. Sometimes it takes quite a bit to clean them up and other times I can use them the way they are. As far as a site to buy images, I don't know of any.

This is a site that allows you unlimited downloads for a certain period of time; week, month or year. I prepaid for a week once and I did get several images. This is not a vector art site though. Like so much of the clip-art out there, some images require clean-up, especially it you need to cut them.
Threr is a good search engine on this site and at least you will get some ideas there. have fun.

Okay, so I'm soooo cheap, I squeak. However, having bought into the MicroSoft concept for years (having forsaken the Big Mac) here's a Freebie.
If ya have Flexi open, you can browse http://office.microsoft.com/clipart/default.aspx and find a few graphics. Pic a few and put them im your 'to download'. Depending on your operating system, some times, downloading these clips are as easy as drag 'n drop.
Other times, you'll have to finagle them through Publisher in order to import them. Either way, they're already Vector. Ya just have to personalize them a tad to make them legal.
Good luck.

I've bought Roland by the piece, great stuff Buy just the ones you need, already to cut or use, and they are $1 each. Oh and you use your credit card and they email them to you in less than a minute, so you can be working at 3am and still get the art you need. Bob

I've bought a few from Rolland/Vector Art. Very happy with them very easy and lots to choose from. At $1.00 each, how do you go wrong? I guess buying all 6500 images that way would be going wrong.
P.S. They are a letterville merchant so go to them that way. Look over in the left column.

I love the Roland site and wish there were other vector art cds available like that. I have a few cds floating around here, but there's always that 1 image you need and just don't have. It's nice to be able to go to the website, find it & have it in your email in minutes instead of screwing around vectorizing something or waiting for a full cd to show up.
