Hello!
First - I gotta tell you - I am feeling much more optimistic about being able to do this sign business stuff after finding this sit and all of you helpful people!
Alrighty - it's going to be a 4' x 8' sign, both sides painted, 3 to 4 colors used, pinstripe border, large logo with 12 or so letters in it, and 82 letters throughout remainder of sign. All hand-painted.
I'm so new at this pricing thing...I get all a'twitter about it! I would So Absolutely appreciate some thoughts... I figured and figured - and am coming up with around the 700 to 800 mark... Your thoughts?
Oh yea, and there will be an arrow shape 6' long with 17 letters painted on it, both sides.
So.... I will sleep tonight rather than tossin' & turnin' with nervous tension at the thougt of meeting with this dude tomorrow afternoon ~ because I'm resting assured that there will be some tidbit of advice to help me feel a bit more assured!
:-D

Your in the right range for a 2 sided sign that size, Lorna, how about setting up a layout for us to look at and break down costs and so on.

get yourself a copy of the "2003 Sign Contractors Pricing Guide." its a $25 book that will give you current pricing for a wide variety of signs, hand-painted or vinyl, from banners to trucks to billboards, etc. Your local 1-shot dealer might sell the book, otherwise you can order it up from SignCraft, or direct from the publisher www.signwritersusa.com

Thanks for posting the info about the pricing guide, ScooterX. I've been doing this stuff for 12 years and have never known if I was pricing it right.
