Any suggestions on a better sign making software to use? We are a small but quickly growing sign company currently using FlexiSignPro. Most of our business is vinyl letters using an Ioline cutter. Unfortunately, we are limited to using only one computer because we only have one key. The cost of adding a key seems incredibly high. Also, we want to add a vinyl printer down the road, so it would need to be able to do both.

Hi Jeff, and welcome to Letterville. You will get a lot more replies if you ask this question in the Letterhead/Pinhead Forum. Personally, I use CorelDraw to design and a bridge program out of Corel to cut(CoCut Pro). If you go to the other forum, and there is a post by Steve Shortreed(our esteemed Mayor) asking what programs everyone is using. Check it out!

if you're already using one program that you are happy with then why would you switch just to save a few bucks? the cost (in lost time) to switch over to a different program is higher than the cost of a second key for the one you have.
if you really have so much business that you NEED to be running two machines then the cost of the software and key is insignificant (the $1000 you might spend on the software is a lot less than the cost of the employee running it, and is about equal to the cost of the machine it is running on, and less than the plotter it is driving). your profit on that much volume of work should pay for the software in a few months.
it might be that you could streamline your workflow so you dont really need two machines going at once.
another solution is to have one version of the Pro software, and one version of their entry level (basic) software. The basic version is good enough for simple production work, and then use the "pro" version for when you need all the extra bells and whistles (merge, distort, inline, autotrace).
