i am pricing a job right now that has me stumped.

i know what i would like to bid but would like to know what your opinion is on this job.

here it is
40'x 30' existing company logo that needs to be washed down and repainted, multiple colors quite detailed ( its basicly a huge swiss army knife with ships and trains coming out of it)
it will have to be done out of a man lift that will be supplied by the customer.

the second tank has the company name which will be 8' x 40' block text (custom color match)
about 42' up in the air

this is on a tank farm so all safety rules concerning working in a oil refinary apply.

there is not alot of materials involved with this job and i dont see it taking too long to do so how do you put a fair price on it but still make a good profit.

sounds pretty cut and dried to me -- i'd figure it based on my "day rate". (my day rate is 5x my hourly rate) and i'd add on the (marked up) cost of 6 gallons of paint. i know other people that figure their day rate at 8x hourly. (my hourly is based on a "billable" work day of 2.5 hours; the 5 hours is

i don't have any experience doing that scale of work, so i don't know how many days it would be, but it sounds like you do.

there isn't any design work involved; its "just" production work.
