I think you need to look at the "person" situation. IF this is a personal friend and you want to do something "for him/her" that is one thing, but if this is a customer I think that a reasonable charge would be in order. After all would this customer do work for you for nothing? If they had and you saw this as an opportunity to repay them Fine, go for it. But you should (usually) keep things on a business basis.
