I think I need a new or used printhead for my old edge. Does anyone know where I can get used parts?

Thanks
Brian

Brian call Gerber

Agreed. You really need to send your Edge to Gerber. The printhead isn't something you can just pop in and out. It'll cost you somewhere between $3000 to $3500, but its worth it because Gerber will go through the entire machine and perform a very thorough inspection, cleaning and replace any worn parts. When they are finished, your Edge will be just like new.

"Just like new", until the new models come out, that is. I had a pixel go out at 6.338" up on my print head, (happened in 2005). Gerber responded that they did not have any parts or service available for my unit, but I could trade it in plus $$$ to get a new one. I bought a JV3 and use the Edge for small decals that need metallics or white that the JV3 doesn't do easily. I had used Gerber machines & software since they came out-brilliant products, but I got a bad taste in my mouth after the reps at the shows wouldn't answer my questions with a direct reply. Gerber plotters are virtually indestructible. I would actually sell mine with foils (23 or so-ZeroNine)and a GS15 plotter for a reasonable price...I use them maybe every five months. Good luck with your replacement search! :0
