Something I did last year but just getting around to taking a pic...the old sign straddled a red barberry bush which the client wanted to keep...she'll need to keep it trimmed back as I notice this spring's new growth has already overtaken the address...since she was insistent on locating the sign over the barberry bush I decided to add the bush color to my color scheme...the building is brick painted white with a slate grey roof...grey shutters and door...the addition of red made for a nice accent color to the sign as well as tying it into the landscape below...actually the bush does serve a purpose...it shields the ground lights from shooting under the sign and blinding oncoming traffic...the client is very much into her celtic hertitage and thus the celtic theme...the celtic dog was her chosing and is a symbol of loyalty.

Rusty, Can I ask where you got the flourish for that sign or is it something you drew/scanned and made up yourself? I am always looking for little curly q's to add to signs and fonts don't often produce many useable results.
Is there a source where I can purchase similar flourishes and download them?

That made a nice color scheme but I hate it when the customer lets the landscape grow over the sign!
