Finally knocked out one sample - all HDU at 8" thick. Routed in sections, glued up and hand finished. The base color is sophisticated finishes pewter with latex on top done with glazes and some dry brush. Its really cool how the pewter shows through the color.
4" high directory sign all aluminum with matthews finish and gloss clearcoat then engraved and a routed 1/8" aluminum logo (rough sanded finish) on top.
and finally, when I talk on the phone I either draw or play with photoshop and have been working on some custom PC wallpaper for some time. This is 6 different pics with lots of tweaking. Not done but close. I plan on making several sizes as well as others and posting them free on my site.

Very creative! I like the idea.
Is 'hardware' meant to look like a line of newsprint type?

wow, Brian - great work on all those projects! Looks like fun. I like to play with Photoshop, but haven't come up with anything that detailed yet - very cool!
I like your sign Jon! (Reminds me of my home theme - I think my hubby down to six 1940 Chevy trucks.)

That hardware sign is over the top in creative wow .. and really looks outstanding.
Remembers that golden nugget sign when I was there, many years ago.
