Been awhile since I've posted work. This job I did back this summmer won the best paint award at the World of Wheels show in Boston this last weekend from the Butera school of art(Sponsor)This customer, who I am doing a lot of airbrush work for, overheard me talking in the shop about Dru Blairs airbrush coarse in the new Airbrush Magazine. The next morning I showed up to work on one of his trucks and he handed me an envelope.Inside was an all expense paid, 4 day workshop at Dru's at his new studio location with room & meals. What a way to say thank you...Thanx for letting me share this....and Thank you very much "Rapid"

Excellent job Dale! I have thought about that Dru Blair course at times. What did you think of it?
Posted by Dale Flewelling (Member # 2577) on :
Bevin, I just recieved the voucher last week. I went online to Dru's site and I'm thinking of scheduling my class in May.He takes 16 students & there are 13 spots left.

Dale, That's mighty fine work! I bet you stole the show. I really like the subtleness of the artwork hues and shadings.

Can we see a pic of the mural too, please Dale?
That's great work. I'd love to get to a class of Drus one day, also.

absolutely wicked!

That is off the charts amazing! Did you do that with just white?
Posted by Dale Flewelling (Member # 2577) on :
Barb, It was all done in white PPG basecoat & black. I used an IWATA Kustom Micron CM ( best investment I ever made) Periodically I would spray House of Kolor intercoat clear over the artwork (Just a habit incase it got rubbed or something.)Thanx for the kind words from everyone!!!

Fantastic job.
Al Pacino is a bit off, I think, but the rest of it is top shelf! Very impressive, and very effective!
