This is the first half of a sign system we installed today. Its 58" x 36" HDU (double sided). We developed the script specifically for this job. The half circle image and letters were produced on a CNC. The rest by hand. The 25 ft fascia sign will be started next week. This sign is for a store that sells quality toys, the type that inspire play They wanted an image that harmonized with the architecture and historic nature of the town and reflect a 1940,s to 1960,s nostalgia. As if it were an established quality business that have been there for decades.
The second part of the design 25ft fascia is much busier and more colourful. It'll play off the clean formal image of the hanging sign

That turned out brilliant Shane! I like the way you simulated the character as being "pinned off" but actually it is solidly mounted. The curved piece with the custom script is such a nice touch. I can't wait to see the progress on the facia display! Great Job!

Beautiful as always, Shane! I love seeing the execution of these desigs that we discussed at the workshop. It almost makes me feel like I'm a part of it. I love the velvety tones.

What a wonderfull piece!!!
What I love most about your style is how you let the dimensional elements speak for themselves (so to speak). Allowing for the highlights and shadows to play naturaly without trying to do it with paint (which looks so artifical) A good example is the blind intaglio design at the bottom.
Again, wonderfull work!!!

LOVE THE SIGN!
This is a great illustration of how modern technology can be combined with tradition hand skills to produce something beautiful. The parts done with a router don't diminish the rest... just make it simpler to do.
I hope you still take the Router Workshop here in Yarrow... I'd LOVE to see your work with texture used selectively. It would truly be magic!
