Thanks for the feedback. I was very pleased with how it came out. Shopping center had very strict guidelines.
The substrate is 3/4" marine plywood with semi transparent black stain, then 3 coats Verathane. The logo is laser cut 1/4" acrylic painted with Krylon Fusion. Hammered metal for the lettering, and bright red for the oval. At the recommendation of the laser cutter, I used E-6100 adhhesive to attach the logo. It's designed to stand up to the dimensional changes in the acrylic due to temperature.
Having the logo cut by laser I was able to get the negative or fill pieces to use for perfect positioning of the lettering within the oval.

It looks like you've mounted the letters and oval on pads to set it off the background slightly. That little bit of extra effort translates into a really classy look.
