I thought ya'll might like to see a job I just finished. It's my own bike, a Honda VTX 1800. Don't ask how long it took. I don't know. -

Wicked! One question, what do you treat the metal with where you have it carved? is it painted?

I use paint for the background. In automotive apps, I use brake caliper paint as it is chemical resistant and temp resistant. Otherwise, black One Shot works well. I even use it on guns and knives.

Very nice work.
I'd like to see it without the paint, just me.
Got any close ups?
Kev.

Nothing but nice...as always.

For those that are not familar with Otto, he is a fellow Texan living in Abilene.

He and I have something in common - while in college we both worked with the same man that influenced us both very heavily. Ellison Edwards was truely a fine gentleman. Otto purchased his business and operated it for awhile before going off to other fine art pursuits.

Check out Otto's web site and you will find some great inspriation.

Mr. Peach,
Instead of reinventing the wheel, check out this series of videos by the best in the business, Steve Lindsay. He also makes the tools. http://www.engravingforum.com/showthread.php?t=886
Enjoy,
Otto

Otto, are these the tools that you use?

His work is just unreal! And he makes it look so easy...which I'm sure it isn't.

Mike and I may be making a trip to Abilene soon -we'll drop in to see you if that's alright.

Ray,
Yes, I use Lindsay tools exclusively. Come see me any time.
