Here's my latest here...4' by 10' I use the crackle varnish that is sold at Canadian Signcrafters Supply.

Strange thing is that I use regular latex white for the background w/ a coat of Varathane clear. the One Shot lettering, mixed with UV clear for transparency, took 48 hours to dry, like there was something between the Varathane and One Shot.

Life is so good, anyway!

Pierre, I've been admiring your website since Jill showed it to me. I'm in awe of your work. I LOVE your style.

I'm really not trying to brown nose. lol.

But seeing work like this is what has really given me the itch to learn to hand paint lately.

Thanks for sharing.

Nice work Pierre, love it!
Keep it coming man!

Phillip, go to home depot, get some crackling varnish and find some old wood and just play.
Get it wrong a few hundred times, like the rest of us, and just play....having fun and learning along the way is what it's all about!!!!!

Make a sign for a friend as a surprise! Take an old clock, or a new $1 store clock, age it, make it part of the sign! The one surprised will be YOU by what you just created!

GO FOR IT!!!!!!!

Phillip, I would be happy to teach you how to hand letter. You come to the house, we practice all day... you buy dinner at the Ace Bar and Grill.

You really need to go to Fred's and hang out for the weekend. Meet me in Des Moines.

Bruce, that sounds like a lot of fun. I was just in Minneapolis 2 weeks ago. Wish we could have got together then.

Mike, I love the old clock idea. Looks like I have another project to brain storm about now. [Smile]

Pierre, that is so cool.
You know, I think the drying time culprit may have been mixing the 1S and the UV clear. Next time get the Super Gloss tinting clear.
I have used the UV once with the 1S in a pinch for a varnish shade and found that they are not real compatible.
Love....Jill

Beautiful job, Pierre! Of course, the successor to the business will call you up and say: "Can you come and freshen up our sign? It's all old and faded."
